Description

The project was developed by Little Elk Wind Project and TradeWind Energy. The project is currently owned by Little Elk Wind Project with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 330,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 240,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $130m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to People’s Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2015.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 37 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
