Los Azufres III is an 80MW geothermal power project. It is located in Michoacan, Mexico. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in October 2015.

The geothermal plant is of single flash type. Los Azufres III runs at a temperature of 170 Degree Celsius.

POWER Engineers was selected to render EPC services for the Los Azufres III (Los Azufres III Phase I) project. TSK Electronica y Electricidad was selected to render EPC services for the Los Azufres III (Los Azufres III Phase II) project.
Los Azufres III (Los Azufres III Phase I) is equipped with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Single Casing Single (Axial) Flow Turbine turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 50MW nameplate capacity.
Los Azufres III (Los Azufres III Phase II) is equipped with Fuji Electric FA Components & Systems Condensing steam turbine turbine.
