Makkah Taif Thermal Power Plant is a 325MW oil fired power project. It is located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in May 1988.

The project is currently owned by Saline Water Conversion with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is crude oil. In case of shortage of crude oil the plant can also run on Bunker Crude Oil.

Hyundai Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the oil fired power project.

Fuji Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company supplied Back Pressure model steam turbines for the project.

Fuji Electric supplied electric generator for the project.
