Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by EDF Renewables and Korea Western Power. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

Manah Solar I IPP Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 7.8 km².

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, to offset 780,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The solar power project consists of 1,000,000 modules.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by March 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Oman Power and Water Procurement under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Korea Western Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
