Description
The project is currently owned by Comision Federal de Electricidad with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from LNG regasification project in Manzanillo.
The project generated 3,109,573MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in May 1989.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 700MW.
