Description
The project is developed and owned by SSE Renewables Holdings (UK).
The project generates 246,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 49,000 households, offsetting 210,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in 2005.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to SSE Renewables Holdings (UK) under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Roadbridge UK was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Meenycat (Meentycat I A) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-2.3-82 turbines. The phase consists of 23 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
Meenycat (Meentycat I B) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-1.3-62 turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 1.3MW nameplate capacity.
Meenycat (Meentycat II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists of 4 turbines, each with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
