Megalopolis Solar Park, Greece

Megalopolis Solar Park is a 50MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Peloponnese, Greece. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

The project is being developed by GEK TERNA Group of Companies and PPC Renewables. The project is currently owned by PPC Renewables.

Megalopolis Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 2,000 acres.

The project is expected to generate 65,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 13,750 households. The project cost is expected to be around $136.063m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Contractors Involved

Yingli Solar (China) will be the supplier of PV modules for the solar power project.
