Description

The project is currently owned by Engie Energia Chile with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in June 2000.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Sistema Interconectado del Norte Grande under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 94MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied SGen5-100A-2P 115-36 electric generator for the project.
