Description

The project was developed by Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and Shell WindEnergy. The project is currently owned by Consolidated Edison Development with a stake of 100%.

Mesquite Solar 3 PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,028 acres.

The project generates 450,780MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 69,000 households, offsetting 321,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Western Area Power Administration under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2016. The contracted capacity is 150MW.

Contractors involved

Amec Foster Wheeler was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar (U.S.) Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 672,000 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems for the project.

The project is utilising trackers supplied by Array Technologies.
