Description

The project was developed by Hitachi Zosen Inova and is currently owned by FCC Environment (UK).

The project generates 94GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 22,000 households, offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $159.215m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Industrial waste and municipal solid waste are used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2019.

Contractors Involved

Hitachi Zosen Inova was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.
