The project was developed by First Solar, K Road DG and RES Americas Construction. Capital Dynamics and GE Energy Financial Services are currently owning the project.
Moapa Southern Paiute Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 2,000 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 111,000 households, offsetting 341,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $515.267m.
The project got commissioned in July 2016.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Los Angeles Department of Water and Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.094kWh for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 250MW.
First Solar and Swinerton Renewable Energy were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by First Solar and General Electric.
The inverters were procured from General Electric for the project.
First Solar is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
