O2 Energies Montgomery Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 120 acres.
The project generates 40,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 3,500 households. The project cost is $60m.
The project got commissioned in December 2015.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Duke Energy Progress under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.06kWh for a period of 15 years.
Hanwha Q Cells USA was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 106,000 modules at the site.
