Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables North America and is currently owned by Madison Gas and Electric.

O'Brien Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 163 acres.

The project generates 39,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 6,300 households, offsetting 27,713t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project construction commenced in 2020 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2021.

Contractors involved

Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 62,370 modules each with 400W of nameplate capacity.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 8 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by SolTech.
