The project is being developed by BP Alternative Energy Holdings, Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments and Shell Energy Europe. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
Orange Grove Solar PV Project is planned over 148 acres.
The project is expected to generate 50,417MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 7,000 households. The project is expected to offset 27,500t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.
