Description

The project was developed by Sumitomo. DAIHEN, Hitachi Zosen, Ntt Facilities, Rengo, Sumitomo and Sumitomo Electric Industries are currently owning the project.

Osaka Hikari-no-mori Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 15 hectares.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 3,200 households.

Development status

The project got commissioned in October 2013.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to The Kansai Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Wuxi Suntech Power was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 36,000 modules each with 290W of nameplate capacity.
