The project is currently owned by Kemijoki.
The hydro reservoir capacity is 49.5 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 15m. Ossauskoski underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2007-08. The project generated 501 GWh of electricity.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of kaplan turbines, each with 41.3MW nameplate capacity.
