Description
The project is currently owned by Otay Mesa Energy Center with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from San Diego Gas & Electric Company.
The project generated 3,337,249MWh of electricity. The project cost is $450m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in October 2009.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to San Diego Gas & Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years.
Contractors Involved
The Gas fired project have been supplied by GE Power and Siemens Energy.
The electric generators for the project were procured from GE Power and Siemens Energy.
Nooter/Eriksen supplied steam boiler for the project.
