The project is currently owned by Damodar Valley.
Panchet is a pumped storage project. The net head of the project is 31.39m. The penstock diameter is 8.52m. The project generated 151 GWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved
Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 1 unit of kaplan turbine with 40MW nameplate capacity.
The electric generators for the project were procured from GE Renewable Energy and Voith Hydro Holding.
