Panoche Energy Center is a 432MW gas fired power project. It is located in California, the US. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in June 2009.

Description

The project was developed by Energy Investors Funds and is currently owned by Panoche Energy Center with a stake of 100%.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The fuel is procured from Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

The project generated 711,630MWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in June 2009.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Pacific Gas and Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 432MW.

Contractors Involved

Kiewit Engineering & Design was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of LMS100 gas turbines, each with 108MW nameplate capacity.

Brush Electrical Machines supplied BDAX98-330ER electric generator for the project.

Ethosenergy (GBR) is the O&M contractor for thermal power project, commencing from the year 2009.
