The project is currently owned by Furnas Centrais Eletricas with a stake of 100%.

Peixoto is a reservoir based project. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 10 in number. The penstock length is 6.15m. The penstock diameter is 7.08m.

The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by Dominion Electric Supply, MEP and Morgan Smith.
