The project is developed and owned by Renovalia Energy.
The project generates 841.75GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 200,000 households, offsetting 510,100t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $410m.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Piedra Larga (Piedra Larga I) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G80-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 45 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Piedra Larga (Piedra Larga IIA) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G80 turbines. The phase consists of 20 turbines.
Piedra Larga (Piedra Larga IIB) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy G87-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 49 turbines.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 5 years.
