Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables, Orion Energy Group and Vision Energy. EDF Renewable Development and EDF Renewables are currently owning the project.

The Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project II), has 80m high towers.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in September 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Microsoft under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 125MW.

Contractors Involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project Phase IA) project. M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project Phase IB) project.

Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project II) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 92 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project Phase IA) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy 1.7-100 turbines. The phase consists of 91 turbines with 1.7MW nameplate capacity.

Pilot Hill Wind Project (Pilot Hill Wind Project Phase IB) is equipped with GE Renewable Energy 1.85-87 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 1.85MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewables is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
