Description
The project was developed by KEPCO Ilijan. Korea Electric Power, Mitsubishi, JERA, Marubeni and Kyuden International are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 21%, 10%, 10% and 8% respectively.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.
The project cost is $800m.

Mitsubishi and Raytheon Technologies were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of M501G1 - 60Hz gas turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
