Description

The project is being developed by Engie Renewables, Orion Renewable Energy Group, RDC Scotland and Renantis UK. PensionDanmark and Renantis UK are currently owning the project.

The electricitiy generated from the plant will offset 90,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase IV) consists of 10 turbines with 3.5MW nameplate capacity.

The turbines that are getting installed on the Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase I), will be using Tubular Steel towers.

The turbines that are getting installed on the Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase II (Extension)), will be using Tubular Steel towers.

The turbines that are getting installed on the Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase III), will be using Tubular Steel towers.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in November 2008.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Shell Energy Europe under a power purchase agreement.

Nordex is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase I) project. Nordex is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase II (Extension)) project.

Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase I) will be equipped with Nordex N90 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 16 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase II (Extension)) will be equipped with Nordex N90 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 4 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Millennium (Glenmoriston) (Millennium (Glenmoriston) Phase III) will be equipped with Nordex N90 (2.5 MW) turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.
