Description

The project is developed and owned by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures. The company has a stake of 100%.

Moree Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 300 hectares.

The project generates 149,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 26,000 households, offsetting 102,326t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2015 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in April 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Origin Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2016. The contracted capacity is 56MW.

Contractors involved

Elecnor was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JA Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 223,690 modules at the site.

Ingeteam Corporacion supplied 56 of its INGECON SUN PowerMax 1000TL M400 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
