Description
The project is being developed by ACEN Australia. The project is co-owned by AC Energy and Infrastructure and UPC Renewables, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
New England Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 2,000 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 1,800,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 250,000 households. The project is expected to offset 1,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $768m.
The New England Solar Farm (New England Solar Farm 1) consists of 950,000 modules, each with 300W nameplate capacity.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Green Light Contractors is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the New England Solar Farm (New England Solar Farm 1).
Ingeteam Australia is likely to be the supplier of 288 of its INGECON SUN 1640TL B630 inverters to the New England Solar Farm (New England Solar Farm 1) site.
Green Light Contractors is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the New England Solar Farm (New England Solar Farm 1) for a period of 2 years.
