Description

Shidaowan 2 is a Generation III+ nuclear reactor.

The 1,500MW reactor will be operated by State Nuclear Power Demonstration Plant. State Power Investment and China Huaneng Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 55% and 45% respectively.

Shidaowan 2 is a type of PWR reactor. It will feature 193 fuel assemblies in the core of reactor, the place where fission occurs and energy is released. The project cost is expected to be around $3,450.6m.

The material used for the construction of the vessel will be SA508,Grade3,Class1.

Development status
