Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Vattenfall Wind Power. The company has a stake of 100%.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 170,000 households, to offset 300,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $430.8m.
The turbines that are getting installed on the project will be using Tubular Steel towers.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2020. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by March 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Vattenfall under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years.
Contractors involved
Nordex will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company is expected to provide 50 units of N133/4.8 turbines, each with 4.8MW nameplate capacity.
Nordex is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
