Description

The project is being developed by Canadian Solar Energy Mexico. Canadian Solar, Korea Electric Power and Sprott Global Renewable III are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 24.5% and 24.5% respectively.

Tastiota Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 483 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 235,640MWh of electricity.

34 inverters are likely to get installed at the project site.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2019. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.021kWh for a period of 15 years. The capacity to be procured is 100MW.

Contractors involved

Canadian Solar will be the supplier of PV modules for the solar power project.

Canadian Solar is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
