Description
The project is being developed by EuroCape Ukraine I. EuroCape Ukraine I and GE Energy Financial Services are currently owning the project.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 200,000 households, to offset 4,408,918t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $560m.
The Zaporizhia Wind Farm (Zaporizhia Wind Farm-IA), will have 110m high towers.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2019. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by April 2021.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Zaporizhia Wind Farm (Zaporizhia Wind Farm-IA) will be sold to Energorynok under a power purchase agreement. The power will be sold at the rate of $0.106kWh for a period of 10.00 years, starting from 2021.
Contractors involved
Zaporizhia Wind Farm (Zaporizhia Wind Farm-IA) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy GE 3.6-137 turbines. The phase consists of 27 turbines with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.
Zaporizhia Wind Farm (Zaporizhia Wind Farm-IB) will be equipped with GE Renewable Energy turbines. The phase consists 35 turbines.
GE Renewable Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Zaporizhia Wind Farm (Zaporizhia Wind Farm-IA). The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2021, for a period of 15 years.
