Description

The project is developed and owned by Hunan Chenxi Qingshuitang Hydropower Exploitation.

Qingshuitang is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 53.3 million cubic meter. The project generated 491.6 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $15.27m.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2006 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2008.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Central China Grid under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 476.9GWh.

Contractors Involved

Toshiba Hydro Power (Hanzhou) was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of bulb turbines, each with 32MW nameplate capacity.
