Description
The project was developed by Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity. International Company for Water and Power Projects, Oasis Power One Conventional Energy and Water and Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 74%, 25% and 1% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co.
The project cost is $1,300m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in July 2008.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
Contractors Involved
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected to render EPC services for the oil fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 5 steam turbines, each with 118MW nameplate capacity.
Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
Operacion y Mantenimiento Energy and Rabigh Power were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
