Rihand Super Thermal Power Station is a 3,000MW coal fired power project. It is located in Uttar Pradesh, India. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in January 1990.

Description
The project is currently owned by NTPC with a stake of 100%.
It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Light Diesel Oil. The fuel is procured from Amlori Mines, Dudhichua Mines & Amloric Expansion Mines.
The project generated 21,271,000MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in January 1990.
Power Purchase Agreement
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are the power offtakers from the project.
