Description

The project is developed and owned by Electricite de France.

Rizzanese is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.2 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 400m. The project generated 80 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $215m.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2007 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2013.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of pelton turbines, each with 27.5MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied electric generator(s) for the project.
