Description
Biothermica Technologies and SNC-Lavalin Group are currently owning the project.
The project generates 50GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 10,000 households, offsetting 1,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $36.31m.
Landfill gas is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in April 1995.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement.
