Description
The project is currently owned by Acucareira Zillo Lorenzetti with a stake of 100%.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 21,572t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 1994.
Contractors Involved
Siemens was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 2 units of SST300N turbines.
