Saurdal is a 640MW hydro power project. It is located in Rogaland, Norway. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1986.

Description

Statkraft, Agder Energi and Skagerak Energi are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 72%, 6.01% and 1.49% respectively.

Saurdal is a pumped storage project. The project generated 952 GWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in 1986.

Contractors Involved

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of pump turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.
