Description

The project was developed by Bordas Renewable Energy and Exelon Wind. Constellation Energy Generation and John Hancock Life Insurance are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 23,400 households.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Brownsville Public Utilities Board under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years, starting from 2015.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 39 units of 2.0-116 turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
