The project is currently owned by Jiangxi Sanhe Electric Power with a stake of 100%.
Shangyoujiang is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 822 million cubic meter. Shangyoujiang underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1997-1999. The project generated 233 GWh of electricity.
