Description

The project is developed and owned by Ningxia Shapotou Water Control.

Shapotou is a run-of-river project. The project generated 600 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $144.6m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

DEC Dongfang Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company supplied bulb model turbines for the project.
