Description
The project is currently owned by Iran Power Development.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is gas. In case of shortage of gas the plant can also run on Diesel.

The project got commissioned in November 1994.

MAPNA Combined Cycle Power plants Constraction & Development and Unit International were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant (Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with GE Power 9E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 123.4MW nameplate capacity.
Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant (Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with GE Power 9E gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 123.4MW nameplate capacity.
Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant (Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit III) is equipped with Siemens steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 100MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens supplied electric generator for the Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant (Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit III).
Amec Foster Wheeler supplied steam boiler for the project.
