Shin-Moji Biomass Power Plant, Japan

Shin-Moji Biomass Power Plant is a 100MW biopower project. It is planned in Fukuoka, Japan. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2021.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Shinmonji Biomass Power Plant 1.

The project cost is expected to be around $417.592m.

The process of combustion will be adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Palm kernel shells which is a kind of agricultural by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project consists of 2 turbines, each with 50MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2021.

Contractors Involved

DP CleanTech Group is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 220TPH.
