Description

The project is currently owned by Saudi Electricity with a stake of 100%.

It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is crude oil. In case of shortage of crude oil the plant can also run on Heavy Fuel Oil.

Archirodon Group was selected to render EPC services for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage III) project. GE Power was selected to render EPC services for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage I) project. GE Power was selected to render EPC services for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage II) project. GE Power was selected to render EPC services for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage III) project.

Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage I) is equipped with GE Power steam turbines. The phase consists of 5 steam turbines, each with 400MW nameplate capacity.

Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage II) is equipped with GE Power steam turbines. The phase consists of 6 steam turbines, each with 400MW nameplate capacity.

Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage III) is equipped with GE Power STF40 steam turbines. The phase consists of 3 steam turbines with 400MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage I).

GE Power supplied electric generator for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage II).

GE Power supplied GIGATOP 2-Pole electric generator for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage III).

GE Power supplied steam boiler for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage I).

GE Power supplied steam boiler for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage II).

GE Power supplied steam boiler for the Shoaiba Power Plant (Shoaiba Power Plant Stage III).

Gulf Power International is the O&M contractor for thermal power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2005, for a period of 10 years.
