Description
The project was developed by Renova and Sky Solar Holdings. NEC Capital Solutions and Renova are currently owning the project.
Sky Solar Iwate Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 58 hectares.
The project generates 47,140MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 15,800 households, offsetting 24,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $112m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in October 2021.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.324kWh.
