Description
The project was developed by Alten Energias Renovables. Cubico Sustainable Investments, Alten RE Developments America and Hokkaido Electric Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70%, 18% and 12% respectively.
Solem Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,035 hectares.
The project generates 878,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 1,000,000 households, offsetting 149,982t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project construction commenced in 2017 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2019.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 290MW.
