It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is fuel oil. In case of shortage of fuel oil the plant can also run on Gas.
The project got commissioned in 1980.
Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 2 steam turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens supplied Totally Enclosed-Hydrogen Inner-Cooled electric generator for the project.
