Description

The project was developed by BayWa r.e. Wind and Pattern Energy Group 2. Pattern Energy Group and Public Sector Pension Investment Board are currently owning the project.

The project generates 282,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 23,000 households, offsetting 270,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $145.739m.

The Stillwater Wind Project (Stillwater Wind Project_I), has 85m high towers.

The Stillwater Wind Project (Stillwater Wind Project_II), has 80m high towers.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2018.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to NorthWestern under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.037kWh for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 79.75MW.

Contractors Involved

Stillwater Wind Project (Stillwater Wind Project_I) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-2.625-120 turbines. The phase consists of 26 turbines with 2.625MW nameplate capacity.

Stillwater Wind Project (Stillwater Wind Project_II) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-2.3-108 turbines. The phase consists of 5 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project, commencing from the year 2018.
