Description
The project was developed by MCE and Sustainable Power Group. The project is co-owned by Alberta Investment Management and The AES, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
Stion MCE Solar One PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 60 acres.
The project generates 20,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 3,900 households, offsetting 3,234t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development status
The project got commissioned in December 2017.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to MCE under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2017. The contracted capacity is 10.5MW.

Cenergy Power and Stion Energy Services were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.
Stion was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 80,000 modules at the site.
