The project is being developed and currently owned by Neoen and Prokon Wind Energy Finland. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 80% and 20% respectively.

Vestas Wind Systems is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the Storbotet Wind Farm (Storbotet 2) for a period of 20 years.
