Description

Others, Marubeni, JERA, Nebras Power QPSC and Multitech are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35%, 32.5%, 19.5%, 9.8% and 3.2% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from The Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Government (MOG).

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2014.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Oman Power and Water Procurement under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 2,000MW.

Daewoo Engineering & Construction was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the dual-fuel fired power project.

The Dual-Fuel fired project have been supplied by Fuji Electric and Siemens.

The electric generators for the project were procured from Fuji Electric and Siemens.
